Trierenberg Super Circuit - The biggest photo award TRIERENBERG SUPER CIRCUIT

was established in 1992. The best pictures from Photographers all over the world, from different categories were awarded here - pictures that got all the time in the world. Pictures that demand to get noticed, rather than just beeing viewed elusive. Pictures in which you can lose yourself in colours, forms, textures and moods. Pictures that will be in your mind with their optical and artistic quality.

So having the number of 30 accepted and one Picture awarded with a Goldmedal is a huge honor and the greatest success for me as a photographer and lightpainter - specially as a lightpainter because, as far as my research got me, it looks like this is the first time a lightpainting got such an award!

Originally this picture was part of a series of pictures i did for a TV report that was broadcasted back in june 2014. Luckily some of my clubmate of the photoclub saarwellingen thought it was worth a try and submit it to some contests.

Without a few people i wouldn't got that far - so this is also a moment to say thank you to some folks that got me inspired and going - Jan Leonardo Wöllert, impossible to get past his works in the german lightpainting/lightart scene and not get inspired by it. Then there are the guys from EMD - Heinz-Jörg Wurzbacher and Garry Krätz, who pushed me to think outside the box even till today. Denis Smith - whose pictures are pure beauty and whose story how he got into lightpainting and how it actually changed his life was both, something that i still can find myself in and pure inspiration. And of course Dennis Calvert - who got me into the technique that i used in the awarded Picture and that gave me the chance to create something different apart from orbs and circles! (Well, of course there are so many more but i wouldn't see the end of it, writting them all down here - guys if you read this - i think you know, who you are)
And last i'd like to say thanks to my supporter "SIRUI" a good and steady triport is possibly the most importand part of the equipment to do some long exposures - thanks for providing me with the best tripod i ever had in use!

Trierenberg Super Circuit - Der weltgrößte Fotokunstwettbewerb TRIERENBERG SUPER CIRCUIT besteht seit 1992 hier werden die besten Fotos aus aller Welt und den unterschiedlichsten Bereichen ausgezeichnet - Fotos, die alle Zeit der Welt haben. Fotos, die danach verlangen, mehr als nur flüchtig überflogen zu werden. Fotos, in deren Farben, Formen und Stimmungen man sich verlieren kann. Fotos, die uns ob ihrer optischen und künstlerischen Qualität im Kopf haften bleiben.

30 Annahmen und eine Goldmedaille ist schon eine grosse Ehre für mich als Fotograf und  als Lightpainter. Vor allem wenn mich meine Recherche stimmt und dies das erste Lightpainting ist, das in diesem Wettbewerb eine derartige Auszeichnung bekommen hat!

Ursprünglich wurde dieses Bild als Teil einer Serie die ich im Zuge eines Fernsehberichts aufgenommen habe, der im Juni 2013 gesendet wurde. Glücklicherweise waren einige meiner Clubkollegen des Fotoklubs Saarwellingen der Ansicht, dass dieses Bild den Versuch es bei einigen Wettbewerben ins Rennen zu schicken, wert ist.

Es gibt einige Leute ohne die ich nicht so weit gekommen wäre - eine schöne Gelegenheit einmal Leuten Danke zu sagen, die mich inspiriert haben und dazu gebracht haben weiter zu machen: Jan Leonardo Wöllert - unmöglich in deutschen Lichtkunstszene, an ihm vorbei zu kommen, nicht von seinen Werken fasziniert und inspiriert zu werden. Dann die Jungs von EMD - Heinz Jörg Wurzbacher & Garry Krätz - die mich immer wieder angeschoben und angeregt haben quer zu denken. Denis Smith - dessen Bilder einfach nur schön sind und dessen Geschichte, wie er zum Lightpainting gekommen ist und es ihn verändert hat unheimlich inspirierend ist und ich mich auch selbst wieder darin finde. Und natürlich Dennis Calvert - der mich zu der Technik gebracht hat, die ich in dem prämierten Bild genutzt habe und mich damit etwas anderes machen lassen konnte abseits von Orbs und Kreise. (Natürlich gibt es noch einge Leute mehr die einen immer wieder inspirieren aber wenn ich die nun noch alle aufzähle, würde ich noch eine Weile schreiben - Leute wenn ihr das lest - ich denke ihr wisst wenn ich meine)

Zuletzt möchte ich noch meinem Unterstützer "SIRUI" danken - ein gutes und stabiles Stativ ist eines der essentiell wichtigen Teile einer Ausrüstung für Langzeitbelichtungen. Danke für die Ausstattung mit dem besten Stativ das ich bisher benutzt habe!
